Project Manager
Canada (Remote), Full Time
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Microsoft Dynamics projects while building and maturing our project management practice. You will establish and continuously improve our project management framework, methodologies, governance, and reporting across our Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric practice.
You will manage a portfolio of client engagements ranging from straightforward implementations to large, enterprise digital transformation projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving delivery processes, working directly with clients, and helping consulting teams consistently deliver successful projects.
What You'll Do
Project Delivery
Lead multiple Microsoft Business Applications implementation projects from initiation through completion.Â
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and quality.Â
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
Clearly define project scope and proactively manage scope changes.Â
Establish project governance and change control processes.Â
Lead project kickoff meetings, status meetings, steering committees, and executive reviews.Â
Serve as the primary escalation point for project-related issues.Â
Manage client expectations and build trusted advisor relationships throughout project delivery.Â
Project Governance
Develop and maintain project documentation including:
Project ChartersÂ
Statements of Work (SOW) alignmentÂ
Scope and assumptionsÂ
Project schedulesÂ
Milestones and deliverablesÂ
RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)Â
RACI matricesÂ
Communication plansÂ
Executive status reporting
Ensure governance aligns with contractual obligations, billing milestones, and project success criteria.
Portfolio & Resource Management
Monitor project health across multiple concurrent engagements.Â
Track project budgets, profitability, utilization, and resource allocation.Â
Coordinate project scheduling with practice leaders and consultants.Â
Resolve resource conflicts and changing priorities.Â
Review and approve consultant time entries to support customer billing.Â
Assist in resolving project billing questions and client invoicing issues.Â
Produce portfolio reporting for leadership including:Â
Revenue forecastsÂ
UtilizationÂ
Project statusÂ
Financial performanceÂ
Delivery risksÂ
Delivery Excellence
Review and continuously improve project delivery methodologies.Â
Create and maintain project management templates, standards, and best practices.Â
Recommend improvements to internal systems, processes, and delivery tools.Â
Help standardize delivery across Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and related solution areas.Â
Coach consultants and teams on project management best practices.Â
Sales & Pre-Sales Support
Partner with sales during discovery and project planning.Â
Provide project estimates, delivery planning, risk assessments, and implementation guidance.Â
Help define project scope and delivery approaches for new opportunities.Â
Advise clients on implementation methodologies (waterfall vs agile, phased rollout, MVPs, etc.)
Qualifications
5+ years of Project Management experience delivering enterprise software or ERP/CRM implementations.Â
Experience delivering projects involving one or more of:Â
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business CentralÂ
Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM)Â
Power PlatformÂ
Microsoft FabricÂ
SylogistÂ
Strong understanding of software implementation methodologies.Â
Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.Â
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Â
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.Â
Financial acumen, including project budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.Â
PMP certification an asset
